Bernard Tulula was born in St-Amand-les-Eaux, a small town in the northern part of France, close to the Belgian border. He married Christiane in his mid 20s and together they raised their two children, Francoise and Philippe. Bernard worked in the metal industry as a draftsman, before progressing up through the ranks of the industry .
